Established in 1784, Jon Smedleyis the oldest manufacturing factory in the world, crafting gorgeous and rugged garments that and built to endure. It is this lasting endurance that sets Jon Smedley apart. The factory originally produced simple muslin fabric, and it wasn’t until 1825 they moved on to more intricate garments using the first-ever knitting machines and creating the original “Long Johns” in the process.

Today the innovation continues with recent triumphs that include the relaunch of the Jon Smedley womenswear line at 2015 London fashion week, as well as the new unisex capsule collection “Singular” which is the first-ever unisex knitwear collection launched within the UK. John Smedley has an iconic style that spans from their “Mainline Collection” including their best-selling polo shirt, unchanged since 1932, up to the aforementioned “Singular” collection.
